Job description

LG2 Toronto is seeking a Senior Designer responsible for creating world-class work that combines conceptual thinking with exceptional craft, particularly in packaging design and branding for both boutique and mass-market brands. This person will lead large projects and actively contribute to the development of LG2's Branding and Design product, while also supporting and mentoring less experienced designers in the group.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently create award-winning, breakthrough work on a national and international level

  • Take initiative with current clients, always seeking creative opportunities

  • Go above and beyond the brief, demonstrating proactivity and self-motivation

  • Develop and maintain excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Mentor junior designers in the department

  • Collaborate effectively with the team and other departments

  • Keep abreast of trends and recent technological and ecological developments, and identify ways of applying them to their work

  • Master all facets of expertise, including print, digital, motion, and others

  • Demonstrate leadership and the ability to mobilize people around a common idea or project

  • Create and maintain trusting client relationships to ensure complete satisfaction, in collaboration with other areas of expertise as required

  • Remain flexible and responsive to changing needs or new project directions

  • Ensure that the LG2 product meets the highest standards

  • This full-time position requires in-office presence a minimum of 3 days per week
